Enjoyable quiz as always! I believe that for the question about the chessboard, you should also accept an answer of 204. There are 64 1x1 squares, 49 2x2 squares, 36 3x3 squares, and so on, ending with a single 8x8 square.
64+49+36+25+16+9+4+1=204
