Probably due to my own limitations, I hadn't realised until this week that he actually picks the "song" first, and then uses it as a category.

This week it resulted in a laughably easy category "houses", where I don't doubt that everybody here got full marks (am not surprised how many people did well this week - it was far too easy).

As mentioned many times, the "shoehorning" in of this terrible song idea really reduces the quality of what could be something excellent.

It's the other way round, Flank. I choose the music to match something in the quiz (usually round 2 as that has most variety). There's definitely shoehorning going on, but only at the expense of the interlude music.

As you can see by looking at the other comments, not everyone got full marks on the houses round so perhaps it wasn't quite as easy to everyone as you found it.

Thanks for the feedback though - it's always useful to know what people think about the difficulty level.
